Servers are up; it should no longer hang indefinitely when trying to construct a ton of components.

A little refresher for the uninitiated, what's the differences between the splash and the patcher?

The splash screen is the splash screen that comes up with the NA logo.
The patcher is the patcher screen that patches the game. :P

As far as I know the splash downloads the latest patcher.

For me the splash did both, it gave me a "how to" for Novus in my internet browser as well as what I guess was the patcher

The game is not f2p, it's a one time purchase. All paypal donations of $25+ give access to the game/a steam key once it's on steam.

I am in the 25 dollar category (from kickstarter). At this moment the game is not on steam, so I can not play. Is that correct?
