Development

The “Top Secret” project mentioned during last week’s devblog is still in the process of being completed. It is going extremely well and we can’t wait to share it with you once we have it done.

With much of our time being spent working and preparing for the completion of the project mentioned above, we are continuing development with the manpower we currently have available.

The new Kickstarter skins are currently being integrated into the ship designer along with a small preview window which will allow the player to preview the current ship skins available to him or her.

Right now we are spending a lot of our time making sure the client and server is in perfect working order. With most of the development team spending time finalizing the “Top Secret” project; we decided to take this opportunity to test everything we can get our hands on and fix any problems we come across.

Just a reminder, if you are in-game and you come across any bugs, please report them on the forums and we’ll add them to our “to-fix-list”.

When you report an issue, please report the following:
- Clear title for the topic. Use a single topic per bug, and make sure it is easy to see what kind of bug it is.
- Describe the bug clearly: What caused it, what is the frequency it happens and what does it do.

While these tests are underway, some work is being done on both the tutorial and questing systems. Both these elements are still in early stages of development. We are currently in the process of working on many of the side quests players will find in-game.

Novus AEterno Livestream

Last week’s livestream was cancelled due to most of our development team being occupied with work.

We are sad to say that we are not able to do a livestream this week either. Some of us are away this weekend dealing with “things”, while the rest are working around the clock to complete our “Top Secret” project and get it out of the way as quickly as possible.

We will however be doing a livestream next weekend over on http://www.twitch.tv/novusaeterno during our regular time slot.

If ur going to hype it up for 4 weeks straight it better be actually worth hyping for and not some ruse. I can smell overexcitement and the followup dissapointment of a thousand worlds.

We're not delaying it for the hype, it is delayed because it takes time to make. =]

Then why the secrecy? If it's not anything majorly special, which i quote "Top Secret Project", isnt a hypefest attempt that will most likely end in dissapointment, why write it in such a way? If it's a general addition you might aswell tell, instead of sitting on it for 4 weeks and now say that "its nothing majorly special but it takes time to make". If it's a feature, good on ya. But a promised feature isnt something that needs to be kept from the fanbase for a month. Also i could ask about more lore but u know thats about 6+ months due.

What logic is this?

If it takes 4 weeks to make it has to be something fairly special... it could be npc factions, or even the new server. They don't mean to hype it up, they are just doing something a little fun, imho.

Even if all the update says is "We are alive, please send pizza"
